How to delete widgets from a section

  I have included some widgets for home page, but in my http://williamgfranklin.com/miscellaneous-observations/ I have some widgets in Sidebar 2 (Search, blogroll and Meta) that I cannot get rid of. I do not want to have these widgets. Any suggestions? Because I have tried the widgets section, and I see no options there. Thanks

  Put a widget into that sidebar, then take it out. That wipes out the prefab collection of widgets.
