How to delete/remove five links at bottom of Twenty-sixteen pages?
-
I believe they were initially social media icons, but when I disabled them, they still left an icon of sorts, which remains an active link to random pages (5 links, 5 diff. pges). Here is the link I got from the first of the five…”https://jonathanalter.com/books?iframe=true&theme_preview=true’.
I don’t like not having control of most aspects of the site, so this bugs me. Any input/insights would be appreciated.

Hello @skellermwd1,
Try this:
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option). This will open the site customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the customizer, click on Menus tab.
3. Click on Menu Locations tab.
4. From the Social Links Menu dropdown menu deselect the social icons. If you already did that, try this:
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option). This will open the site customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the customizer, click on Menus tab.
3. Click Social tab.
4. Click the red Delete Menu link.
WARNING: This will remove all your social icons, and may mess-up things, so remove this only if you are never gonna use the social icons.Hope this helps 🙂

Thanks otpidusprime! The first rec worked perfectly. I realized that I had been to that control page, and I tried to make each icon link to a book-sale page. The link worked, but there doesn’t seem a way to change the icon from a default look.
For now, though, it’s all good!
Thanks,
