How to determine number of hits on site?

  How can I get a counter on my site to see how many people have visited it? For example, “like number of hits” on You Tube.

  Our Site Stats page, available in your Dashboard, can show you how many people have visited your site:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

  You can also showcase the amount of visitors to your blog by using our Blog Stats Widget available in your Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets:
