Howdy,
I’m happy to transfer the users who have subscribed to your blog either by email or via the WordPress.com Reader.
I need to know 1) the WordPress.com site your followers are at now, 2) what site you want them moved to, and 3) do you have the Jetpack plugin installed and connected to your WordPress.com user account?
http://jetpack.me/Please keep in mind that while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site. You might want to post a notice on your old site about your upcoming move to keep your readers informed.
Let me know if you have any questions!

hi, i just recently did this too and now i have a different problem. it seems my readers are having trouble commenting now on my self hosted site. i have already gone in to settings and made the adjustments, but they still have to enter in their email info to comment or their avatar reads as anonymous. your help would be appreciated. thanks. my page is robertmudge.net if you want to look at it.

That’s WordPress.ORG support issue and we do not provide support for WordPress.ORG installs here at all. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
