How to disable comments ? "all comments" box missing

How do I disable comments for the Grisaille theme? I am trying to build a website that will not be used as a blog. I did find this http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/ which would work except that I do not have the check box “Allow comments” as an option under discussion. Is there a way to add this option? Another place to find this options? Thank you!

I did go to the link that you provided and found this:
Bulk Editing CommentsThere is not a way to turn comments on or off for all published posts and pages at once. However, you can use the bulk edit feature to change many posts or pages at a time.
Go to the Posts -> All Posts screen in your blog dashboard.
Select the posts you would like to modify or check the box next to “Title” column at the top to select all posts on that page.
Select Edit from the Bulk Actions drop down menu.
Click the Apply button.
Change the options for Comments and Pings to Allow or Do not allow.
Click the Update button.
Repeat with your Pages.So it seems you are able to disable comments for any posts you have already made.
Also, if you look under the discussions tab under settings you should see under the first portion there is a box that is automatically checked that says Allow people to post comments on new articles . Make sure to uncheck it. I think that should help prevent anyone from commenting on any more posts.

Thank you I found the solution! You have to go to the post and click on quick edit, then un-check allow comments. Mystery solved!
