How to disable Home Page Feature Image and Title?

    I am using the Structure theme with a static front page and a custom header. I do not want to see a featured image on my blog pages but my home blog page keeps showing a box with “You can edit “(Title of 1st post)” and use featured images to add an image here.” message that I cannot get rid of. Also, the title of my 1st post keeps displaying as the title on the home blog page. What am I doing wrong? Will you please help?

    This is actually a feature of the theme and can’t be disabled.

    In this case, I recommend choosing a different theme.
