how to disable incoming links

  Is there a way (with the wordpress hosted version) to disable incoming links that are not wanted, besides asking hte people who linked to you to take them down?

  There is no way of preventing people from linking to you, just as there is no way of preventing people in real life from talking about you or pointing at you.

  I’ve been asked to take down links, and I have refused.

  Hypothetically speaking: If you were on a self-hosted blog you could intercept imcoming links and redirect as you please. But why in the world would you want to do that?

  I don’t answer hypothetical questions that only apply to blogs other than WP.com. I haven’t got the time.

  Besides, a link is a Technorati Authority point, whether they’re agreeing with you or not. That’s not the kind of thing I discourage.

  There ought to be a way. I have an incoming link form a teen porn site, and I don’t want that associated with my blog. There should be something we can do about that.

  Sorry. If the site is not illegal, they can link whatever they want.
