How to disable others from reblogging my article?

  • Unknown's avatar

There is a user who has reblogged my article without asking my permission. All my posts are original and is an output of hard work, research and my creativity. This is wrong on so many levels. Is there an option to stop people from reblogging (stealing your content)? Even though, I told that blogger to take my post down from his or her blog, he or she has not responded to it and has reblogged some other user’s work just now.

The user who is reblogging other’s work is:

    Relationship Insights

Also, if I block this person, will this stop?

The site I need help with is:
    thatpinkjournal.wordpress.com

    Hi there,

Since reblogging a post is almost like sharing and WordPress.com makes sure the post that has been reblogged links back to the original content creator there is no basis for copyright infringement. What you can do if you don’t want your posts to be reblogged is to disable the reblogging option under My Sites → Tools → Sharing. and also hope that the user who shared your content takes it down like you have asked them to.

Also, if I block this person, will this stop?

You can block them and they won’t be able to see your site from the account you block but who knows they might have a lot of user accounts and if they like your content that much they will come looking for your site. You can read more about reblogging on this guide, be sure to read the FAQs as well as they answer your question in detail : https://wordpress.com/support/reblogs/
