How to disable that Snapshots thing permanently in my blog
-
How do I disable the Snapshots thing for everyone who visits my blog?
It’s annoying and my blog doesn’t need it.

-> Presentation -> Extras is where you can turn it off
uncheck “Enable Snap Previews anywhere on this blog” and then click “Update Extras” to save. -
Each user can ‘turn it off’ themselves if it is on, but it is cookie related and will come on again if they ever clear their cookies. You said off for everyone, so TT is 100% the way you want to go!

I like http://localhost sometimes, I don’t like get 404 from *my* httpd ;-)
web could be blocked pretty well on local http proxies (privoxy, proxomitron, proximodo, squid etc).

I’m tired of continually removing this cookie for this feature I dislike intensely which I have disabled on all my blogs. How do I block snap previews on an windows xp operating system (firefox browser)?

TT,
The way I stopped this annoyance was by adding a filter in my Adblock extension.
If you don’t have it, install it and once is installed, click on it (once) and a pop-up window will come up with a list of “All blockable items”, at the bottom, there’s a field with the text ‘New filter (use * as a wildecard):’ just above it. In the field, type the following filter:
http://shots.snap.com*Voila! No more pesky snapshots.
