How to disable the Analytics Tool?

  • Unknown's avatar

In the Privacy settings, there’s a control which says ‘Share information with our analytics tool’. Next to this is a toggle button, but there’s no text to show whether it’s active or inactive. I could take a guess, but without confirmation from WordPress, how can I be 100% certain what this setting is set to?

  • Hi there,

Hi, thanks for your reply. I do not have a site, I just use the account to post comments on other people’s articles.

  • Hi there,

If the toggle button is grey, then the tool is disabled:

If it is toggled blue and you click the save privacy settings, then the tool is enabled:

Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

That’s great, thanks for the answer. I don’t like leaving my privacy settings to chance, I like to know 100% what the setting is. If I may offer site feedback, I feel a conventional checkbox would be more clear, instead of playing “guess which colour means what”.
