How to disable the word press footer?

  Is there a way to not display the wordpress footer? The one that says things like “Theme Contempt by Vault9.
  Blog at WordPress.com. ” at the bottom of the screen?

  No I’m sorry but unless you have the CSS upgrade and CSS editing exoerience as there is not staff support for CSS editing you cannot undertake this. Also note that Staff have requested previously that the footer be kept intact. That way others clearly know that yours is a free hosted blog and they can have one too.

  I want to add that this is an ethical issue. If you remove the links in the footer you are implying that you created your own theme when you did not. You are also implying that you are self hosting your own self created theme, on your own personal servers when this is not the case.

  Agreed. It’s misleading to remove the text, and I believe the terms of service REQUIRE the links to be displayed.
