How to display a caption on thumbnail in a gallery and a title in carousel view?

  I’m using a customized Skylark theme to design Galleries as portfolio pages for my client. I want titles when the images are seen in the Carousel view but when I add a “caption” so that the thumbnail images in the Gallery have labels, it remove the title from the Carousel. Is there some way to fix this? I need captions on the thumbnails AND large titles in the Carousel view.
