How to display an image or preview of my video on the thumbnail post of my page?

  Hello,
  To be consistent with my other posts which all display pictures in the thumbnails of my home page, I would like your help to display an image or a preview of a post using a video.
  Thus my homepage will look coherent and harmonious.

  Hi,
  Thanks but if I ad a featured image, then in my post I have the image and just below the video, which in confusion in the end.

  How can use the features image for my home page only and not my post?
  Maybe there more in the link you sent but I’m sorry I can’t see it
