How to display childpages as buttons on the parent page?

When opening a parent page, I want the different child pages displayed as different ‘buttons’. Child pages appear in the menu when holding my mouse above the parent page ‘tab’ but they do not appear on the parent page itself between texts or other contents. I admit being a real site/blog dummie and I haven’t been able to find a clear ‘step by step answer’. My theme is ILLUSTRATR. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s because what you want is not a specific feature, but it’s possible:

Create the buttons you want (as image files) in the sizes you want and upload them to your media library, then add them to the page as you would any image. Where it says “Link to” when you insert the image, select “Custom URL” and paste the URL of the relevant page underneath. When you publish the page the buttons will appear as regular clickable images that, when clicked, will take readers to the pages linked to that image.
