How to display different images for mobile?

    Is there a good plugin for displaying different images depending on the device? I tried looking at the plugin store and I haven’t seen anything so far.

    Hi there,

    Do you mean completely different images, not just the same image at a different size? Because most themes should do the latter for you automatically.

    That’s not a very typical thing to do, so I’d be surprised if there’s a plugin for that. You can try asking the WordPress.org community, who makes the open source software, in their forum at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, but you’ll likely need something custom for this.

    (It’s technically possible doing something like this using CSS code only, but it’s very hacky, and not guaranteed to work. But that’s also not the type of thing where we can help you with the code you’d need, in case you want to do this on your WordPress.com site. Also keep in mind that using either plugins or CSS code on WordPress.com requires our Pro plan.)
