How to display future posts?

  Hello Everyone!
  I have a wordpress.com blog, where I would like to display future posts only (as upcoming events) on the front page.
  Is there any solution for this?

  We are a non-profit organisation, organising various art events.
  Like: one upcoming event is one post. I would like to see the next event first in the list and later events afterwards.
  Also I would like to have a ‘archive’ menu to show all the past events (posts)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  On WordPress.com sites, by default the blog page displays posts in reverse-chronological order, by publish date. It’s possible to change the order, but the only way actually affects the order of posts on the blog page is altering the publish dates. See the Alter the Publish Date section of the Show your Posts in Chronological Order support page.

  However, if you chose this method, then would have to continue to alter publish dates with each new post to both stay current and achieve your goal of having the post announcing the next event published above posts announcing events to come later.

  An alternative that wouldn’t require repeated alteration of publish dates would be to use Display Posts Shortcode in a Static Front Page, customized to display posts in ascending rather than the default descending order. You could limit the number of posts displayed by the shortcode to whatever number you like. Note, however, that display posts shortcode will not display posts in the style that is designed for the blog page, regardless of the theme applied.

  Also I would like to have a ‘archive’ menu to show all the past events (posts)

  Would the Archives Widget suffice? If not, other options include a Custom Menu, a Custom Menu Widget, and Display Posts Shortcode inserted into a Text Widget.
