How to display hosted WP site in WP.com site?
-
I have a hosted website using WordPress (hokuhouse.com), and I wish to export the posts to display on globalsense.wordpress,com. Rather than just display the RSS feed in a sidebar widget. I want the posts from my hosted site to display in the body of the WP.com site.
I have the latest Jetpack installed at my hosted blog, which has WordPress 4.3 running the D5 Business Line Extend theme.
I have been unable to find a plugin that lets me export all of my blog posts to WP.com. In fact, when I click on the “plugins” table in my wp.com backend, I gather that the only way to add a plugin (e.g., to display my hosted PW site posted) is upgrading to a premium account. Is that true?
Any help, please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi globalsense,
You can Export your posts from your WordPress.org site and Import them into your WordPress.com site.
You should remove the posts and redirect the URLs from your WordPress.org site once you import them into your WordPress.com site, or you could have a duplicate content issue with Google.

Only built-in plugins are available on WordPress.com, even if you have a Premium plan.
Let me know if that helps.

Thanks rwaynick.
I was able to export the hosted WP post feed successfully by using the Chrome browser (safari does not support XML export, it turns out). I then used the WP.com import key to load the posts in my page here.
There are some quirks I need to fix, but I am good to go, at least for now.
FYI, my goal here is creating a mirror site on wp.com, so my primary site URL will be left alone. Google automatically ignores duplicate listings of posts, so it’s not really an issue there, so far as I know.
Thanks again for your help. I believe this thread can be marked as resolved.

You will have a problem with a mirror site and the Terms of Service here – not allowed here
From what I have seen, Google does not like duplicate content and both sites will be downgraded

Well if that is the case, I will go into the posts at WP.com and change them into more unique items. Not a big deal. Thanks for the heads up.
