How to display most recent post first on "home" page

When I first go to my blog, everything is as it should be. I currently have 4 pages to go to on the navigation bar. If I leave the main (post) page, then go back to it by selecting “home” in the nav bar, my most recent post is gone (it’s only my 2nd one, which is how I discovered this), and it displays my first post (with the 2nd post in small type at the top with an arrow). Is this the way it’s supposed to be? Is there a way to reverse the order and have the “home” (post) page show the most recent post when selecting that page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi,

It looks like you created a menu item to that particular post, not to the home page. You can fix this by going to Appearance->Menus. Click on the arrow next to the home entry, then click Remove.

Once that is gone, you can add a link to the home page by clicking on the “Links” option on the left side, then replacing the http:// with a single /. Add “Home” as the link text, then click Add to Menu.

Then, you can click and drag it into the first spot on your menu. Lastly, once you’re all set, click the blue “Save Menu” link in the upper-right of the page.

If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!
