How to display my Link Categories?
-
I have added two links under the category “About me” and I’ve deleted the default two that come under “Blogroll”, but my page only shows the “Blogroll” header. Why is this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s odd. When I posted the question the web form contained a field specifically for the link to my blog. Not only that, but it had been automatically prepopulated correctly. If you don’t get that link, what happens to it and why is the field there? If the field hadn’t been there, I would indeed have explicitly included the link in my text, so I would say that the existence of that field is actually preventing you from getting this information – I would ask someone to look into that.
Anyway, the link is as follows http://michaelbrooks1.wordpress.com/
Thanks for helping.

Volunteers in the forum do not get that link. The form is so that if you fill in anything but a blog hosted here at WordPress.com you automatically get a post directing you to WordPress.ORG instead.

This is what I see:
Blogroll
A – My LinkedIn page
B – My eLance page
Did you resolve the question? -
No, I haven’t yet resolved the question. What you see is indeed what I am complaining about. I expect that “Blogroll” heading to say “About me” instead. Any insight anyone?

Ah.
dashboard > links > link categories > add “about me” category
then
links > edit > choose “My LinkedIn page” (or the other one) > assign it to the link category “about me”
(do both)
then
dashboard > appearance > widgets > choose the links widget to edit it and select to display “about me” > save -
Ah – yes, the widget was the non obvious bit. That has certainly done the trick. Thanks a lot.
