How to display only the beginning of the article
-
Hi, We are currently experimenting with Twenty-thirteen theme for our wordpress blog. And we find it bothering to have the articles of the blog entirely displayed on the home page while we would prefer to have only the beginning of it, so our users could browse the last Twenty articles easily. We don’t see a way to activate this option in the free version of wordpress for the Twenty thirteen theme. PLease could anyone give us a hint. THanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Some themes display excerpts by default on the blog page, and many newer themes (those launched in the last few years) have an optional setting in Customize where you may choose to display either excerpts or full posts on the blog page and archive pages.
Twenty Thirteen has neither. However, you may abbreviate selected posts individually on the blog page and archive pages by inserting a More tag into the post content at the point where you want it to be truncated. See the More Tag support page for relevant information and instructions.

Two support pages, each titled More Block:
1. for Classic Editor – https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/2/
2. for Block Editor – https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/Shouldn’t the first one be titled More Tag instead of More Block? It doesn’t involve blocks, or the Block Editor, at all, and the word “Block” only appears in the title.

My guess is that it’s now the second page of the first article, and that it’s intentional to help keep the documents organized. But I’ll bring it up with the documents team so they can fix it if they decide that’s necessary. Thanks!
