How to display text within image on grid layout page in edin theme

    Hi all,

    I’m wondering how to get something that looks like the edin preview, where they have a very nice image with text overlaid that says “The content of the front page template is displayed here. This is a great place to add your “call to action”….” and then there is a button beneath it.

    How did they do this?

    I would like the text (“Kathy Lee, I’m a musician. Contact me for lessons, events, or just to say hello”) to appear as it does in the edin demo, as well as add a button, also like the demo. Any ideas?

    Hi,

    with text overlaid that says “The content of the front page template is displayed here. This is a great place to add your “call to action”….”

    That is the content (typed or inserted in the page editor) of a static page that has been 1) assigned as the front page, and 2) had the Front Page Template assigned to it.

    and then there is a button beneath it.

    “Call to action” buttons are also inserted in the content of the page. The codes for two optional call to action buttons are found in the “Extras” section near the bottom of the Edin theme guide.
