How to display the post as a whole column instead of a link to that post (Museum
-
I’m currently using the theme museum and I’m really happy with its design the thing that I dislike is the layout of the posts in the main page, as you need to click the “read post” button to access the whole content of that post. I would like the whole post to be displayed as a column straight away like in the Penscratch Theme, without having to click a button to access the whole pictures. I want people to be able to scroll down my whoe posts like in Penscratch Theme but having the design layout of Museum Theme.
How do I do that?
Thank you -
Hi there, Museum is designed for photos, drawings and illustrations mainly, so less emphasis was put on text content. On posts without featured images set, an excerpt of the text content will be shown on the main blog page though. There is no way to change Museum’s main blog page to show post textual content with CSS. It would require editing of the theme PHP script files, and we cannot do that at WordPress.com.
If you want the post content to show on the main blog page, you will need to either not include featured images in the posts, in which case an excerpt of the text will be shown, or you will need to change themes.
