I have selected widget that I want to display on the sidebar but I don’t know how to display the sidebar itself ! I have try to customize the visibility of each widget to make them appear on every page but it is still not working.
I use the template “Illustratr” so maybe it doesn’t allow sidebars ??
Thanks for your help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Be aware that not every theme is designed to have a sidebar at all and some have only footer widgets. Others have hidden pages for widgets and a link must be clicked first before they display.
You have not stated which theme you are using so I can’t provide a link to the detailed theme description page for you. Volunteers cannot view private blogs and that’s why I tagged this thread for Themes Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe:

Hi Alice,
Please note that the Illustratr theme you chose does not have widgets in the sidebar. The widgets appear when you click on the + at the bottom of the page.
You can read more about the theme here:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/illustratr/
Regarding the widgets, it states:
Illustratr offers a widget area that appears above the footer in a hidden panel. Click on the link to expand and view the widgets. This keeps the design sleek and helps Illustratr creating a clean reading experience for everyone.
If you want widgets in the sidebar, it would be best to apply another theme. Here are themes with widgets in the sidebar:

Let me know if you have any questions with this!
