How to do pingback

I am stuck on how to figure out a pingback.. Do I need to upgrade to do this? I am starting the writing 101 challenge June 2nd and did blogging 201… seeing that people are tagging me …yet pingback is a mystery …even though I read about it! Thank you for your assistance!! I just started 58 days ago..so still much to learn ….Heart to Heart Robyn

Happy to help you figure this out. First, you shouldn’t need an upgrade for pinbacks to work. Second, I checked out your most recent posts, and it looks like you have pingbacks and trackbacks enabled on all of them. So, when people link to your post, the pingback should appear. Can you point me to a post where your blog post was linked, but a pingback was not recorded on your site?

Jeremey.. Thank- you so much for your response… ! I have been humbled by my learning process here..the only time I did not have pingbacks ..that I can see was my first 15 days…I had not realized I had enabled pingbacks during blogging 201… Thanks again for your quick response and checking out my posts..the link you posted is a great resource as well with an excellent explanation for me and others
