Social media icons are generally added to either footer or sidebar using Social Media Icons Widget.
However you can try adding links to your social media profiles in the html you find at https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-social-media-buttons-to-your-sidebar-or-footer/#step-2-add-a-text-widget-and-format-your-buttons-using-html and see how it goes.
In the html you find in the above support guide, replace the bold placeholder text between ” and ” with links to your respective social media profiles.

In the Edit Page screen of your static front page, switch to Text editor by clicking on Text tab and paste the above html.
