How to do something with widgets?

    Your functionalities are explained in terms of what each thing can do. Is there a publication with a format that explains how to do something? As it is, I am searching various widgets, for example, to find one that might do what I want to do. When I have no luck, I’ve wasted all that time.

    For instance, I want to be able to have my book cover appear in a sidebar so that clicking on it links to a Point-of-Sale. It would be even nicer, since I have two points-of-sale, to show a link to each along with a sign for each, along with the book cover. One link would say, “Direct from publisher – print only.” The other would say, “Amazon.com – print or ebook.” I can’t find how to do that or whether the two POSs can even be done.

    But, the better solution would be a publication, since I have other questions like that (not that I wouldn’t mind asking each of you and getting each solution back).

    You could do what you’re looking for with an Image Widget. Each one allows you to embed an image with a link in your sidebar.

    We don’t have an all-in-one document for widgets, but you should be able to find what you’re looking for by searching at http://en.support.wordpress.com/
