How to don't have twice the same post?
-
Hi ! I have a problem. I tryed to find how to don’t post twice the same posts on my main page, but it doesn’t work. Could someone explain to me how to keep my six posts that are prominently displayed in a grid without them being posted under ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi exofrancenews,
I believe this has something to do with the layout chosen. Maybe try a different layout to see if this changes what you see. If it does change, then it’s likely the layout.
Cheers

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/gazette and that’s where set up instructions for it, and the live demo site link is found.
Note this section on that page Featured Content and Featured Images.

How could I change the layout please ? Do I have to change Gazette and choose another one ?

The layout options available for the Gazette theme are found here https://wordpress.com/theme/gazette
If that theme is not for you then you will have to search for a theme that display the way you want here https://wordpress.com/themes/ Note you can browse all grid-based themes here: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/grid-layout
re: switching themes
Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
Note that switching themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site.We have a preview function. No content is lost when switching themes on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. It does not matter if the site is private or public. The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.

Hi,
If you go to “My Sites” -> “Themes [CUSTOMIZE]”
Then go to “Featured Content”, there remove or change the “Tag name”, then you won’t see the top grid of your latest posts, only the bottom grid will be displayed. The top grid shows 6 “Featured Posts”.
Hope that helps. Do refer to the theme guide suggested by @timetheif above.

To prevent Featured Content posts (in any theme) from displaying a second time in the main blog area, you would uncheck the box in your Customizer’s Featured Content area that says “Display tag content in all listings.”

If you decide to try Gazette again, the above step should do the trick. Let me know if you have any other questions.
