how to download the file from website??

  i want to add the files on my website. how can i ask my users to download it so they can use it.

  Are your referring to image files, media files or documents files?

  Did you try searching the support docs at http://support.wordpress.com for accepted file types? Here’s what I found:

  If you want to embed the document itself, you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs. Otherwise, the documents will appear as a download link.
