How to download theme to change my blog’s appearance

Help!! I am trying to figure out how to download a them from the “extend” portion of wordpress. When I go to the change theme button on my dashboard, I cannot figure out where to download my selected theme. Please help. Thank you.

We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM, we are limited to the themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.
