How to Duplicate or Copy a Post entry for a series?

  • Unknown's avatar

I am creating a series of blog entries (you know, Part I, Part II, etc.)
I have things set up now in the Part I Post the way I would want it for All the rest in the series.

How can I simply Duplicate or Copy this Part I post for the rest of the parts?
There has to be an easier way than cut-n-paste between edit sessions?

    thanks in Advance!

    merlyn9,
Are you talking about copying the formatting and some of the images or links? If so, just switch to HTML, copy all, open a new draft, delete the parts you’ll want to change (put placeholders like “text about day 1 here”), save the draft. Then you can copy the “master-plan” draft to the HTML of new posts part2, 3, 4…

That copy-n-pasting is what I am trying to avoid…
and it does not pick up the Tags, or categories…

I was looking to grab it all in one shot?

    Sorry, I don’t know a magic fix.
I mostly use it for copying tables or columns so I don’t have to write the code all over again. Tags and cats would be different for each of my posts.
