How to duplicate the Canape theme

    I am using Canape theme for my site https://wordpress.com/plans/feastdublin.wordpress.com but I cannot seem to get the menu section to work and also the 3 nice roll overs on the home page don’t seem to be accessible anywhere, or maybe it’s just me! Newbie here :-)
    I am trying to create a nice restaurant site with the usual nice images, content, short video clips and a reservation page. If I upgrade to Business Plan, will this allow me to do all I am looking for?

    Hey there,

    If you are referring to this menu section in particular I was working with another user a few days back on the same menu section, I have not heard a response back from him in regards to the set up of it as it seemed to cause a little trouble for me. Take a look and give it a try and let me know if you encounter the same issues.

    As for the remainder of what you are looking to do, your best bet for flexibility in styling and functionality is upgrading to a Premium or Business plan. For more information on these plans and their inclusive features please check out this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/. However, all of what you are looking to do can be done on all plans. Here a few links to further information on all the topics discussed.

    The ability to upload videos directly to your website requires an upgrade to the Premium or Business Plan where you will gain access to VideoPress. https://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/

    However, you always have the ability to embed a video on your website regardless of what plan you have. If the video itself is hosted by any of the service providers listed in the following link: http://support.wordpress.com/videos/ then it is available to be embedded on your site.

    Website viewers can request a reservation with the use of the OpenTable Widget available to all WordPress.com plans: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/open-table-widget/

    If you are interested in a more complex integrated set up then you will likely have to upgrade to the Business plan to gain access to the use of plugins. You can view all the potential “restaurant reservation” plugins available by searching that keyword by selecting the magnifying glass within the Plugins page of your My Site dashboard here: https://wordpress.com/plugins/. Many plugins will be available to you once you have upgraded but do keep in mind not all third party plugins are completely free even with the upgraded plan. Best to source out the plugin/features you are interested in prior to the upgrade.
