These are the directions I followed.

    1. Visit your dashboard by clicking on the dashboard link.
    2. Navigate to Appearance → Editor to open the Site Editor.
    3. Click on Patterns to view all of your site’s template parts.
    4. Locate and click on the header template part. Note that your theme may include multiple variations of the header.
    5. Click the pencil icon to close the left sidebar and open the editing interface.
    6. Open List View to see a list of all blocks in the header. Here, you can add, remove, and rearrange the content.
    7. To change the background color, you’ll need to edit the specific block that represents the header background. The block may vary depending on your theme, but it could be a Cover block or a Group block.
    8. Click on the block to select it, and then look for the color settings in the block’s toolbar or block settings panel.
    9. Select your desired color using the color picker or input the color code manually.
    10. Click Save to apply the changes to your header

All that ever changes is the main page background color.

  • Hi there, are you able to change the color of your header background by following the steps in the video I’ve recorded here? The color of the header is set in the group block but it sounds like you may have had some trouble finding it.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
