thanks for responding. let me be more precise. i started in webmaster tools, where i found the following. i found the same “edit the header php file” instruction in several other places as well. but how to display the header php file? how to get to place where i can edit and save it? thx.

Add a meta tag to your site’s home page.

    1. Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site’s home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.
    <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”_-5vTdLXS_pVjFBevHlzL2wpTtxcb5tKILXMhfkojT8″ /> Show me an example

    2. Click Verify below.

To stay verified, don’t remove the meta tag, even after verification succeeds.
