How to edit icons in a Widget?Block?Thing?
-
Hallo all,
I am not a webdev but instead a normal boring IT guy with some web development expiericence (Drupal). I am pulling my hair out trying to do something very simple. Change an icon in a block, widget, thing. On this site, I would like the doggie icons to be something else. https://grump-it.pro/wp/
These are fontawesome unicode css icons? I can edit the fontawesome CSS directly and change or break them. CSS I understand. How is one supposed to edit the icons normally? Where is this block or widget in the standard WordPress “dark-fitness” theme. Why do I have no control over the homepage when I select “Your latest posts” under the “Reading” settings.
I can believe I am saying this but drupal was more fucking intuitive…

I should add that I am aware that I can overwrite the block’s css with the “Addtional CSS” box in the customize menu, but this not what I wish to accomplish. I would like to fundamentally understand where that block is coming from and how to edit, even if with notedpad++.

Hi there,
Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host grump-it.pro on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at Namecheap. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue.
You definitely have the option to move your site to us so we can provide in-house help, but as it stands now, we cannot help since it is hosted elsewhere. The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help. Thanks!
