HOW to Edit out error in blog entry from MY Squarespace blog at WordPress?
-
WordPress is wonderful but right now I am doing up my site with Squarespace and using WordPress for a backup archive and additional promotion tool for my Squarespace blog. I corrected an error in the tab/title for one of the blog stories but it already got to WordPress with the “faux” in the title – how to edit it, please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please provide the URL for the exact post or page you refer to. Without it we cannot even begin to help you.

https://wordpress.com/read/blog/feed/30009350/
the url above is sync-ed to my Squarespace artsite…I thought it would appear in MY WordPress Blogs – but it is just in at the Feeds….so…I need two things: to be able to correct the major “typo” in the title of http://www.ellesmithfagan.com/blog/2014/12/15/the-strawberry-top
I put some targeting code in the title block by mistake – I removed it and it is fine at Squarespace – in MOST places – but it appears with the messy code showing here and in a few utitlity spots at ellesmithfagan.com – Squarespace is fixing it at their end of things. But how can I correct it here at WordPress?
I hope this helps

Staff have ruled that if your site here is just a duplicate of a site hosted elsewhere, that one of them must be set to Private or your blog will be considered for suspension.
Also, duplicated content like that will cause search engines to list both of them as spam. I’d be more worried about these two issues than some random code.

https://ellesmith.wordpress.com/ has no new content since May. Is that the site you are talking about?
-
I had no idea. I am supposed to be PRO – how did a thing so big get past me? What do I need to do here to be right?
-
NO I am not talking about https://ellesmith.wordpress.com/ and frankly I am confused about it…..I posted a thing to a relative at Facebook when my nephew died and how it ended up at WordPress I do not know. But I do write and publish on grief-recovery sometimes, and so I left it there and just cleaned it up. It is good.
I have TWO places with my work at WordPress right now the one you mention here at ellesmith.wordpress AND a simple FEED following my own blog at another site…..I am told I need to NOT do that… Apparently if I download the WordPress blog viewer , I can enjoy backup copies of my blog that way ….but not AT wordpress…..am I understanding this better now?
I have been fine online with one site that died this Christmas after 15years online…and so the mess as I set up the new one. sorry and do correct me , please.

https://ellesmith.wordpress.com/ has both site data and blog and feeds…all under the one ID at WordPress. Why do you ask?
-
It has nothing but two old posts. Also, it’s the only blog we can help you with, as it is the only one at WordPress.com.
Where is this “faux” in the title you wish to get rid of? Where on that particular blog?

I am widowed and honored lifelong and one of my pieces at the White House in 2007. My site is my lifeline when for work and social very important to me.
And so…..
I am up at 4 in the morning thanks to the fright you gave me over this issue you said :“Staff have ruled that if your site here is just a duplicate of a site hosted elsewhere, that one of them must be set to Private or your blog will be considered for suspension.
Also, duplicated content like that will cause search engines to list both of them as spam. I’d be more worried about these two issues than some random code.”-
A bit heavy for a watercolorist
I need my sleep so :
For now I just deleted everything at WordPress – since the source of the error was my code error, I am working with my web host to fix it.I need to know if it will be okay to subscribe to my own feed at WordPress AFTER the issue is fixed. I cannot risk the issues you threaten. Not worth it.
I am sure you meant to help.
Bye for now and keep me informed as need be.
Word Press is very nice.
Happy New Year!
