how to edit pages on ecto

  hello! I just got started on my WordPress blog! I’m excited about it but a little frustrated at the moment!
  I want my sidebar to have different pages, so that’s why I added pages. But I can’t seem to edit them!
  I click on Widgets, then ‘my story/about’ and then it says to ‘click on the edit link to make changes’ The only edit link I see is down below the twitter/fb/etc links and it’s an unresponsive link.
  Please help! I’m not a great techie person, but this seems like it should be working and it’s not! :(
