How to edit 'published by….' text at bottom of blog post

    When I scroll to the bottom of a blog post, right above the ‘leave a reply’, there’s a profile pic and an brief ‘about’ text. It’s not the same as the ‘About’ page text. How do I edit this? When I click on the profile pic it takes me to gravatar. I see the text and there are json, xml etc version but not editable. How to edit?

    Hello @nofonesquirrelb!

    I can see how it can be a little confusing, but the info you are seeing is about the author, while the “about” page is information on the website itself.

    To edit information about the author, you will have to navigate to

    Dashboard > Users > All Users

    From there, you’ll see a list of all users on your site. If you hover your mouse over one of the profiles, an edit button should appear and you can edit the information for that user.

    Thanks but my dashboard seems to be bit different. I’m using the basic version too. Under “configure” I see “people”, and then I see the users but I hover over user and no edit option appear. I’m on a Mac Safari… not sure if that’s the issue.

    Oh, I see. I have to actually type in the “/wp-admin” to the url to get to the dashboard. That’s not the most intuitive way to navigate. Thanks though. Got it!
