How to edit someone else’s blog before he publishes
-
I have been invited to edit someone’s blog post before he publishes it. I do NOT want my own blog. I only accepted his invitation to edit. However, there are no clear instructions on how to do the editing on another person’s blog — only how to edit my own.

Hi there,
If you have been invited to be an editor for a post on another user’s WordPress.com site, then on your WP.com site admin area (presumably you have a WordPress.com site, not a self-hosted site) you should see a “Switch Site” link at the top left – by clicking on that link you should see a list of your sites, and a site you’ve been invited to edit a post.
Click on site you’ve be invited to, go to Posts section and edit the post.
If you cannot see the post(s), perhaps clicking on “Everyone” button (above the posts list) should reveal it to you.Also, it might be advisable to check with the person who invited you to edit post whether he wants you to immediately publish the post or just to save it as a draft. If latter is the case, please click on “Revert to Draft” button, under the “Status” in sidebar.
I hope this will help you.
Cheers

Hi misssue2 –
Please let me know what site you’re trying to do this for so we can take a closer look. Thanks!

staff-zinnia – Hi there! Thanks for the link, but, I’m a bit confused and I’m not sure if I did something wrong … ? Perhaps the blockquote wrapper made you think I quoted someone else’s answer? That was by accident … :) I wrote the whole answer by myself :) I don’t want to hijack this topic, but I’m really curious.
@misssue2 – I hope your issue resolved now ! :) -
You didn’t do anything wrong. We always leave a link to the guidelines when we see someone new helping out. Thanks! :)
