How to edit subscription confirmation & email

Hi,
I’d like if its possible to
(1) edit the content in the confirmation email my subscribers get
(2) change the default ‘Congrats, you’re subscribed! You’ll get an email with the details of your subscription and an unsubscribe link.’ message that’s displayed once someone clicks the subscribe buttonfor those without a paid wordpress plan

Hi, if you go to your WP Admin dashboard, and go to Settings > Reading and scroll to the bottom, you can edit the blog follow and comment follow email text that is sent to subscribers.
I see you have customized the message your visitors see when they subscribe via the widget, when they are logged into WordPress. In the Follow Blog widget, near the bottom, you can also set your own text for non-WordPress.com followers.

However, I’m still confused as to how I can change the default texts ‘you are following this blog’ and ‘Congrats, you’re subscribed! You’ll get an email with the details of your subscription and an unsubscribe link.’ displayed when someone follows my blog.

Ah, it’s funny, when I subscribed to your site, the Congrats message did not come up, but one that was worded differently. The text that appears after someone subscribes cannot be changed really, not even with custom CSS (part of the WordPress.com Premium and Business plans) since there isn’t a CSS class assigned to it. It is not something that is editable.
