How to edit title

  Hi,

  Please help. I will appreciate it.

  I have created a blog at
  https://wordpress.com/post/drstefansemchyshyn.wordpress.com/51

  It works okay. However, in Google search, after I typed in Stefan Semchyshyn, it displays
  ‘Testing: Stefan Semchyshyn – The Legend in Obstetrics’

  I must remove the word ‘Testing’ because I do not need this word there. Can you please tell me how to remove it?

  Hello Jim,

  I just googled it, clicked on the cached version and it seems, when you published and Google indexed your blog, it had “Testing:” in the title.

  It may take 4-6 weeks or more for search engines to revisit your blog and discover new content. Registering your site on Google and requesting an update may help speed up discovery.

  Hi Gina,

  Thanks for your info. What I need to know is how to remove the word “Testing” from the title. Where in WordPress site can I find a way to amend the title?

  Hello Jim,

  As far as I can see, the “Testing” is already removed from the title. (So there is nothing to do in the WordPress.com blog, the change is up to Google now.)

  This word “Testing” was there when Google visited and read the site and have not visited again since, so it remembers the word “Testing” still. It takes a while until Google visits again notices the change.

  If you want to speed up this process and see the correct title in Google faster, you can request an update manually. (See the link I posted in my previous message.)
