How to edit website and change domain/hosting w/out deleting content?

    Hi! I currently have a totally free WordPress website and domain (i.e. my domain ends in .wordpress.com). I really want to amp up my website–change the theme, add some pages, basically make the whole thing look better and way more professional–but I have all this content on my current website. I’m not sure how to change plans so I can have a new domain and better website with the same content. Will I just have to manually put in all my content onto a new website or is there some way to edit my current site?

    Upgrading to a WordPress.com paid plan doesn’t affect your existing content at all. If you also want to change your theme though you may want to ensure you choose a new one with a similar sidebar layout for your archives widget etc.
