How to eliminate categories?

  I have categories unchecked, but I still see categories on my posts. How do I eliminate categories altogether? Thanks.

  I am not seeing any categories attached to your posts. What I am seeing, is tags. There are many tags attached to your posts but no categories.

  Alas, were it only so. On my particular theme, the category is inserted in big, black letters just above the post headline. You were looking down below.

  On the current post, the category is “Fact.”
