How to eliminate "load more posts" button and just go to previous entries?

  Hello!

  I want to show a maximum of 8 posts on the homepage. When I get to the bottom there is button that says “load more posts”. My problem is I don’t want to load more posts in the homepage. Is there any way that I just press a button and another “page” opens with more posts? The scroll bar just gets bigger and bigger and user find it annoying whenever they have to go back up

  Such as a previous entries button that some other blogs have.

  Disabling the infinite scroll feature to get rid of the pop-up in the footer results in a “Load More Posts” tab, and you can’t disable that “Load More Posts” tab from appearing and have “previous post” and “next post” links, without the Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
