how to embed a link under a child page
-
I have some code – currently on the ‘volunteer’ page on fullcircleseries.wordpress.com – which is supposed to link to/take the viewer to a fully loaded form
Can you walk me through how to do this please?
Thanks muchThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
It appears as if the code you’re trying to use is javascript and this type of code cannot be added to a WordPress.com site.
I’m not entirely certain what you need from this page/code, but I’m wondering if utilizing a contact form might be a viable workaround:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/Or, the link can go to an outside site, if you’d rather.
Let me know if you need any help brainstorming another solution, and I can lend a hand.
Thanks much.

THanks, Robyn. My question is: can I link the ‘Volunteer’ page on fullcircleseries.wordpress.com directly to the outside form? In other words, so that when someone clicks on ‘volunteer’ it opens on the linked form rather than on a page with a link on it.
And I agree – there is no reason we could not use the contact form; but this is how she does it and wants to stick with the familiar!
Thank you, Sarah

Sarah,
In other words, so that when someone clicks on ‘volunteer’ it opens on the linked form rather than on a page with a link on it.
Absolutely! You’ll want to go to your custom menu builder, and instead of adding “Volunteer” as a Page, you will add it simply as Link.
Here is a direct link to your custom menu builder:
https://fullcircleseries.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.phpYou can delete the existing Volunteer sub-menu item, and then, you’ll click the Link tab in the left-hand column. From there, you’ll be able to add the URL to the outside webpage with the form.
