How to embed a map from Google Maps (with the new Google Maps Engine)?
-
I’ve made a map with the new, better Google Maps Engine. Because WordPress.com doesn’t accept HTML (although it’s possible to embed Google Maps), the map doesn’t show up. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I’m sorry but the only guide we have is here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/

Sadly that now seems to be out of date, even if you switch back to using Classic Maps rather than new maps.

Hi there,
We had a brainstorming/troubleshooting thread about this recently. Perhaps it will help you out:

Hi jackiedana,
thanks for linking the other thread.
I could not, however, find any answer to the question about Maps Engine.Since it makes it easier to create structured maps and geographical content, it would be very nice to be able to embed that content within WordPress posts.

Ah, you are referring to https://mapsengine.google.com/? If so, you might want to make a post in the Ideas forum explaining what the maps engine is, and why it would be cool to include embeds here on WordPress.com:
