How to embed a preview of an external article

  Hello WP,
  Im new to this and trying some different experiments to see what my limitations are and how much I need to read up on to get what I want done. My question is whether or not it’s possible to embed a preview of an article I’m linking to in my post. Say, a preview of an article on Joeshmow.com on my blog using wordpress.com account. Do I need .org account and a plugin or is this possible with .com. Thank you in advance.
