How to Embed an affiliate link

  this is my first ever blog. And I am almost brain dead trying to figure this out. It should be simple but its not! I signed up as an affiliate for a company to put its banner and link on my blogsite and now I can’t figure out how to do it.

  i think affiliate links are not allowed on wp.com…

  As I understand it (and I am not staff) you may use affiliate links with discretion in your posts as long as the blog itself would exist without them. In other words, the primary purpose of the blog and the post cannot be to get people to click on the links.

  Banners? Probably not allowed.

  Links in posts to specific products? Some, if appropriate to the topic being discussed, probably allowed. Ask staff.
