How to embed other people's Flickr images with header & footer?

    Hello,

I want to embed into my blog a Flickr image made by somebody else on a Creative Commons license. My understanding is that the Flickr embedding code creates a header and footer with the photographer’s name and the title of the picture. This is perfect – just what I need.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work on WordPress. When I paste the Flickr embed code, it produces only the image (with no header or footer). And underneath is a stray bit of code that reads “//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js”

Am I doing something wrong, or does the Flickr embed code not work on WordPress? Any advice would be gratefully received…

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m having a similar problem on my WordPress-hosted blog (using Harmonic theme). Any progress on this?

For what it’s worth, it works perfectly on Google Blogger. Rather drastic solution though…

This is likely because embed code may be using restricted html tags or Javascript code.

Certain code is restricted on WordPress.com due to security reasons.

You will find more detailed explanation on restrictions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

If you are keen on getting header and footer you can perhaps consider self-hosting WordPress where you will have more control over your site.
