hi
First we need a link to you wordpress.COM blog.
code is restricted here… so its usually done with special “Short codes”, different than a selfhosted blog, with wordpress.ORGsecondly, If you have a wordpress.COM blog, please state what exactly you want to embed? (a youtube video? for example.)

Hello, alien from Luddite! Sadly, you have landed on the wrong planet for advice! This is the wordpress.com forum, and your blog, sadly, appears to be hosted by some entirely different entity. If you want to move over to wordpress.com with your new blog, then we may be able to help you figure out how to embed some specific thing (different kinds of things embed differently, depending — video? document? google calendar?), but you will need to find the help & support sites for your current host.
Good luck blogging!

Okay, thanks for the link to your wordpress.com site — the link in your name leads to a DSC blog.
Here’s how to create an active link to make it easy for people to help you:
http://carbfree.wordpress.comTo post a picture to your blog from the visual editor, click on the “image” icon in the toolbar — that’s the first little icon that looks like an image — and then you can choose to upload an image, select a url, or choose one that you’ve already uploaded to your media library. You can also select how to position it on the page — centered, left, right, etc.
To “embed” a document depends on the doc type & where it’s from.
