How to enable only a snippet of a post appear on the homepage, not all of it.???

  Hi guys,

  I just need a little help.

  Im using the theme “Standardtheme”, and I cant get it so only a small snippet of my post appears on the homepage, and then having a “continue reading” to see the whole post.

  An example of what I mean, is in the demo of the theme. If you look at the second post down, it says “continue reading…” which leads to the whole post….

  How is that done? as everytime I create a new post the whole thing shows up on the homepage.
